To do so, you'll go to your playlist menu. And you'll click the green edit button on the playlist you wish to edit. So we'll start by going to my first playlist and we'll click edit. On the playlist edit page, on the right side of the page, you'll see four taps available to you as you edit your playlist. They are edited playlist. Now playing playlist, info and view playlist, I'll go over each of these now. The added playlist tab is where you manage which resources you have included in your playlist, they are listed in sequence order and you can drag and drop the entry cards to change the order in which they are listed in the playlist. Each playlist entry is composed of a thumbnail image. The thumbnail of the resource, which is an aviary. A title which can be edited in the playlist to be temporarily different from the title in Aviary preferred. A description, which can also be edited in the playlist, but by default is pulled from the metadata field, from the resource it exists in. And the name in the icon of the collection to which the resource belongs. The entry that is being displayed here will have a blue bar next to it and now playing listed above that entry. You can add resources here above the added playlist tab, you can add as many resources as you like from your organization. However, you cannot currently add resources that do not belong to your organization. You can also add a resource more than once to your playlist in case you want to feature segments of a particular resource multiple times in different sequences within your playlist.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://aviary.aviaryplatform.com/collections/41/collection_resources/42203/file/114211#t=6.66,144.449"},{"id":"https://aviary.aviaryplatform.com/collections/41/collection_resources/42203/file/114211/transcript/29347/annotation/2","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"If you want to remove a resource from your playlist, you can have your mouse over the entry card and select the remove button here. You can also select the checkbox to the left. And go up and use the book, delete, after checking several checkboxes here over to the left side of the page, you can customize what media elements of the selected resources will be presented in the playlist by default. All media files that are attached to the resource are included in the sequence in which those media files are listed for the resource, you can use the checkbox on the media file thumbnail to deselect any media file that you do not want to include with the resource in the playlist. For each media file that is selected to be present in the playlist entry, you can also select a start and end time in case you would like to present only a segment of the media file. You can select the start and end time by dragging the blue slider here for the start/end time that you desire. Or you can directly type in here the starting in time that you choose. Or you can hit play on the video and at the segment in time that you desire hit, set, start and the time you desire to in hit set end. Once you have the time of your clip selected, go down and hit add clip to add this segment of time to your resource in your playlist. From here, we'll navigate to the now playing info tab. The playlist info tab allows you to edit the information specifically about the playlist itself, for example, the playlist, title and description. You can add a playlist, thumbnail image that is used by Aviary whenever a playlist is featured on a browse page within the site. You can add a title for the public, which is displayed at the top left of the playlist page. For example, my first playlist here. You can add a description for the playlist, which is displayed under the title at the top left of the playlist page, you can set the access status for the playlist. It can be public or not public. If the playlist is not public, then only those users who have access to the playlists will be able to find and access the playlist. Organizations also have the ability to create permission groups and Aviary that grant access specifically to a playlist. We'll talk about this more in the custom permissions video on this course. We can set whether or not the playlist is featured. If a playlist is featured, it is given a badge when displayed on a browse page. Within the application, you can set the playlist to render audio files in an audio player instead of in a video player. And just like collections, you can create an RSS feed for your playlist if you would like to offer users the opportunity to read the feed or if you would like to use the playlist as a mechanism to publish a podcast. The final tab here is The View playlist tab. The View playlist tab shows how the playlist will be viewed by users and the system users viewing the playlist to not see the playlist info tab.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://aviary.aviaryplatform.com/collections/41/collection_resources/42203/file/114211#t=271.71,386.0"},{"id":"https://aviary.aviaryplatform.com/collections/41/collection_resources/42203/file/114211/transcript/29347/annotation/4","type":"Annotation","motivation":"transcribing","body":{"type":"TextualBody","value":"They will also not see the added playlist tab unless they are one of your organization's users who have the ability to edit the playlist.
